Product Overview
The Dell 210-AXFE 48 Ports Networking 2.5GBE 4 Ports SFP28 UPoE Switch is a high-performance networking switch designed for small to medium-sized businesses and data centers. This switch features 48 ports of 2.5GBE connectivity, allowing for fast and reliable data transfer for a large number of devices. The 4 SFP28 ports support fiber optic connections, which are ideal for long-distance network connectivity.
Additionally, the switch comes with UPoE (Universal Power over Ethernet) technology, which provides a single power source for both data and power to attached devices. This makes it easy to set up and reduces the need for separate power cables, making it a cost-effective solution for powering network devices.
The switch also features advanced network management features, including advanced VLAN capabilities, Quality of Service (QoS) settings, and link aggregation. This allows administrators to configure and manage their network with ease, providing a robust and scalable network solution.
Connectivity Options
Dell 210-AXFE is a 48-port networking switch that offers 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet (GBE) connectivity options with 4 additional ports for Small Form-Factor Pluggable 28 (SFP28) connectivity. The switch also supports Universal Power over Ethernet (UPoE), which means it provides both data and power over a single Ethernet cable, making it easier to install and manage network devices.
The switch is designed for high-bandwidth applications that require fast data transfer speeds, making it ideal for use in data centers, cloud computing environments, and other demanding network environments. The 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports allow for a high-density of devices to be connected to the switch, while the 4 SFP28 ports provide the ability to connect to high-speed network devices such as storage systems, servers, and other switches.
The Dell 210-AXFE switch is designed to be energy-efficient and supports energy-saving features such as Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+), which helps reduce energy consumption and costs. The switch is also equipped with advanced security features such as 802.1X port-based authentication and access control lists (ACLs), which help protect against unauthorized access and data theft.
In conclusion, the Dell 210-AXFE 48 Ports networking 2.5GBE 4 Ports SFP28 UPoE switch offers a comprehensive and flexible connectivity solution for high-bandwidth network environments. It provides fast data transfer speeds, a high-density of devices, and advanced security features that make it ideal for use in data centers and other demanding network environments.
Advanced Switching Features
The Dell 210-AXFE switch is a 48 port networking switch that supports 2.5GBE (2.5 Gigabit Ethernet) connectivity. It has 4 ports that support SFP28 (Small Form-factor Pluggable) connectivity and provides UPoE (Universal Power over Ethernet) capabilities. The switch is designed with advanced switching features that make it a high-performance, versatile and scalable solution for data centers and other enterprise network environments.
Some of the advanced switching features of the Dell 210-AXFE switch include:
- LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol): This allows the switch to bundle multiple physical links into a single logical link, providing increased bandwidth and redundancy.
- Jumbo Frames: This feature supports frame sizes of up to 9,000 bytes, allowing for faster data transfers and improved performance.
- Quality of Service (QoS): This feature allows the switch to prioritize network traffic, ensuring that important data is transmitted first and reducing network congestion.
- VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network): This allows for the creation of multiple isolated network segments within the switch, providing enhanced security and network management.
- Access Control Lists (ACLs): This feature allows administrators to define rules for accessing the network, providing a high level of security and control.
- STP (Spanning Tree Protocol): This feature prevents network loops by automatically disabling redundant links, ensuring that data is transmitted efficiently and avoiding network downtime.
In conclusion, the Dell 210-AXFE 48 Ports networking 2.5GBE 4 Ports SFP28 UPoE Switch is a powerful, versatile and scalable solution for enterprise network environments that require advanced switching features and high-performance connectivity.

About Refurbished Products
Different Types of Switches
Networking switches vary widely depending on the number of devices they can support, network bandwidth/speed, and form factor. Switches for small offices will have anything between 4 and 8 ports and can fit on a desk. For larger office network implementation, switches may have 24 ports, 48 ports, 96 ports, and 128 ports and are rack-mountable between 1U and 4U. Switches come in different types depending on the network speed and tasks they support. These include 40/100 Gbps, 10 Gigabit (up to 10000 Mbps), Gigabit Ethernet (up to 1000 Mbps), Power over Ethernet, and Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps).
Unmanaged Switches
The unmanaged switches offer fixed configurations on a plug-and-play basis. It is the most basic switch and there are a few choices in the market. These switches are affordable, but the basic features make them inappropriate for enterprise applications.
Managed Switches
The number of features and level of functionality improves with managed switches, making them ideal for enterprise and business applications. These switches are built with the command-line interface for ease of configuration. Equally, they support SNMP agents that come in handy when troubleshooting network issues.
The security on managed switches is better and will protect different types of traffic. Other features include support for virtual LANs, IP routing, and quality of service settings. Managed switches are more expensive compared to all other types of switches.
Smart Switches
Smart switches refer to switches that possess more features than those unmanaged switches but do not have the full features of managed switches. Smart switches are more cost-effective than managed switches.
Some of the limitations of the smart switches are a lack of telnet access support, Web GUIs, and a lack of many features for VLANs. They are affordable compared to a fully managed switch and are suitable for a smaller computer network.
Modular Switches
Modular switches allow the addition of expansion modules as the network expands. The expansion modules allow for more networked devices but are application-specific. They may include wireless access points, firewalls, or network analysis tools. The flexibility of a modular networking switch comes at a higher cost.
