Installation for Streamlined Setup
- First, make sure to turn off the power to the server and unplug it to ensure the safety of the user.
- Locate the hard drive caddy in the server’s internal bay and remove it. To remove the caddy, gently pull it out of the bay.
- Take the new Dell Genuine 2.5 SSD Hard Drive Caddy and insert it into the internal bay. Make sure to secure it in place by clicking the tabs on the sides of the caddy into place.
- Connect the SATA cable to the caddy and plug it into the SATA port on the motherboard. Make sure the cable is connected securely.
- Take the SSD hard drive and attach it to the caddy by screwing in the screws. Make sure the drive is secure.
- Once the SSD hard drive is attached, connect the SATA power cable to the drive and plug it into the power supply.
