About Refurbished Products
A networking module is a software module responsible for the implementation of particular functions within a network stack. Examples of these network stacks include transport protocol, data link interface, and a network application.
Network modules exist either as client modules or as provider modules. It could also be both according to the location within the network stack.
This article highlights the networking basics, including its working and how various devices can be used to create networks.
Computer networking has been around for way back. As time has progressed, technologies have gotten quicker and more cost-effective. Networks consist of different devices. These include switches, computers, and routers that are interconnected via wireless signals and cables. Comprehending the networking organization basics is an essential part of the construction of a wireless network in a neighbourhood or community.
Clients and servers
On networks, the relationship between the client and the server is very important. The computer holding content and services like a media file, a website, or a chat application are known as a server. A computer holding the search page of the Google website is an excellent example of a server. It holds the page and sends it out on request.
A client is a separate computer, like your mobile phone or laptop. It seeks permission to download, view, or utilize the content. The client has the ability to connect over a network to exchange information.
For two computers interconnected through an Ethernet cable, the computers can see one another and communicate through the cable. Client computer requests for a website from the server. The website is sent from the server and shown on your web browser as the client.
I/O network module
Ethernet Industrial Protocol (EtherNet/IP) is conventional Ethernet together with a layer of industrial application protocol aimed at industrial automation. The application layer protocol serves as the Control and Information Protocol (CIP).
EtherNet/IP was designed with the view of overcoming the shortcomings associated with conventional IEEE 802.3 Ethernet as put in the world of industrial automation. With Acromag for example, you are provided with an array of choices to suit your particular requirement: Ethernet Analog I/O, Ethernet Multi-Function I/O, Ethernet Converters and Switches, Ethernet Digital I/O module, and others.
Ethernet I/O solutions' three series to select from
