Configuration and Management of 8 Ports Switch
- Connect the switch to a power source and turn it on.
- Connect a computer or laptop to the switch using an Ethernet cable.
- Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the switch (default is 192.168.2.10) in the address bar. This will open the web-based management interface of the switch.
- Log in using the default username and password (admin/admin).
- Go to the “Configuration” tab and select “System” to configure the basic settings of the switch, such as the hostname, IP address, and time zone.
- Go to the “Configuration” tab and select “VLANs” to create and configure virtual LANs on the switch.

- Once the configuration is complete, click “Apply” to save the changes and reboot the switch.
- To manage the switch remotely, enable the SNMP protocol, configure the switch’s IP address, and set the SNMP community string.
